Upon arrival by an international flight, all passengers have to go through passport control and to pick up luggage. In the area of passport control the system of RED and GREEN channels will function. Passengers should read notices about permitted luggage, which are situated in luggage pick-up area to find out whether they have goods that require customs clearance. If passengers have goods that require customs clearance, they should choose red channel customs counters. The goods are given to customs service for definition of the sum of taxes.
If passengers do not have such goods, they should choose green channel counter.
The customs officers working in the green channel have the right to detain the passenger and subject him to examination.
This system is accepted in the majority of the countries of Europe and the whole world, and represents the system, starting to work in the Republic of Montenegro.
Those who are not sure which channel to go have to pass the red channel.
