Connection
Who and how provides
The Internet in Montenegro is given only by one company T-Com. It is the basic provider of line communication. It is a monopolist and it establishes the prices by itself. The Internet is given in the form of ADSL (dedicated channel) and in the form of Dial-Up (modem). ADSL favourably differs in the high rate. It can be provided for a juristic person in office. It is necessary for the foreigner to show temporary registration and documents on the firm registration. For providing for the natural person it is required only boravak (temporary residence permission).
Tariffs for ADSL are the different. A standard variant: the line - 128 (is comprehensible to use only for work), the user's payment includes 10 Gb of downloaded / transferred information. It is possible to take the tariff Flat Lider higher rate, more volume. The prices, of course, are higher, than on the average in Moscow.
Dial-Up - It is possible to use by any foreigner, having brought a certain payment in special shop or simply to pay together with telephone bills post factum. But it is necessary to provide a telephone line. For providing of it foregoing documents are required.
GPRS - both cellular operators have it (Wap-Internet).
For the conclusion of the contract with T-Com it is necessary to receive a priyava (temporary registration).
By the way, the main specification for Internet providing is availability of telephone number which is given out by passport data of the person. If you change the residence this number remains for you and is provided at a new place if, of course, the house has a telephone system cable.
As a rule not during a season the providing of the Internet takes 2 days after the contract conclusion (in Herceg-Novi).
At offices of T-Com nobody speaks English or Russian.
Attention! If you want to take a cheaper tariff you should wait for 3 months after application. This rule does not work in case you choose more expensive tariff.
A notebook is usually provided to the Internet by means of PCMCI the modem (company T-mobile service).

You can call from hotel, from a call box or any other stationary phone. Hotel clerks will tell you what codes should be dialed to contact the native land or with the next building. Basically, there are general rules for all hotels, but usually the access to the city network is carried out also by dialing their own internal code. But it is necessary to remember that calls from hotels are much more expensive and the quality of connection is usually lower, than from a call box.
If you want to use a street call box it is necessary to buy for this purpose special payment card Pre-paid in booths or in post offices. By this card you buy the time of the talk beforehand and you will not get a kilometer bill as the result of the international conversations.
There are phones accepting as means of payment credit cards in resort areas of Montenegro.
There are three large providers of cellular communication in Montenegro. They are ProMonte GSM (the phone number begins with 069), T-Mobile (number begins with 067) and :tel (number begins with 068). As it is known, in any country internal tariffs of local operators will be always more favourable, than in roaming, and, besides, all entering calls for you will be free. Therefore after arrival to the country its better to get a sim card of one of above named operators, especially if you are going to call often. It is possible to do it everywhere, sim cards and express payment cards are on sale at every turn: in post offices, shops, booths and, of course, at offices of operators of mobile communication.
To pay money for the account is possible in the habitual way: erase carefully the protective strip, dial *123* (for T-Mobile), *148* (for ProMonte GSM) or *123* (for M:tel) then dial the code of activation written under the strip, press # and then ok, yes or the receiver depending on a phone model. After a while you will get sms confirming the transfer of money for the account, and also showing the condition of your balance.
Mobile network covers practically every corner of small Montenegro.
If you do not want to buy a sim card, all large Russian operators of cellular communication have an option of connection by the international roaming.
